OlyBoy's growing indoors this time (Sunset Sherbet)

I’m looking for an excuse to pop 1 seed… :joy: I think I can manage to fit a decent Solo grow into my current plans, but I don’t want to Solo something then find out later it was the best potential mom out of whatever I pop…

I need more space! :weary:

I get what you’re saying. I think if I would have to choose one to be a mother plant, I would pick the plant that grew buds in pairs. And I’m basing this decision off of ease of maintenance for the plant that grew buds in pairs not necessarily based on overall yield when plant is harvested.

So it’s been 82 days since we flipped these girls to 12/12.

My question is “How long is too long to keep them in flower?”

There are threads and websites that say all different things.

These came from ILGM seeds.

All the trichomes have turned cloudy, but there’s no amber anywhere.

I’m not looking for couchlock. But I also don’t want to harvest any earlier than I need to. The sister plant for this lady was harvested two weeks ago. But this lady is still pushing out more pistils. I may have harvested the first of my plants a little early.

How far can I let my ladies run free before there’s a chance of them going herm? Or is this really a thing?

Bobby Digital on ILGM had a great sunset sherbet grow, maybe check him out? Ive heard some sativa strains dont really turn amber…

My BG started pissing out new growth hard around week 9 ish… I just tried scoping buds deep inside the nugs to get a better overall pic. But it isn’t over until they are all dark brown and shrivelled up some. Shit Chocolope went like 14 weeks for me like my second grow ever.

Thanks for the replies.

This will be the last day for Backup. She’ll sit in the dark tomorrow and get the chop on Saturday.

The little one will get another week of light before harvest.

Thank you. I finally finished up trimming, washing, drying, and hanging them up for drying.

The close up pics are from the center cola on the lower level.

Drying: Last time vs This time.

Last time: I dried Duchess for a full week and here’s the temp/humidity snapshot for that drying week. Overall, I guess I was happy with the averages. But…I need to learn to quit screwing with my system and causing those unnecessary spikes.

I’m curious to see how Backup will do. Ambient RH downstairs is ~48% at 65°. The last time Backup was watered/fed was Monday morning. And she was sitting in the dark from Friday morning until Saturday afternoon. The plant already felt bone-dry when I picked her up for the chop.

This time: Here is the snapshot I have for Backup’s drying so far.

I finished everything and got my little harvest put away right before 6:00 this evening. It’s funny to see the house thermostat turn the heater off at 8:30 (red circle), and the humidity immediately starts creeping up (blue circle). This thermometer/hygrometer is pretty fun to mess with. I went downstairs about 15 min ago to turn the exhaust fan on (you’re welcome, neighbors) just to see what happens in the drying room.

I would not be surprised if her branches indicate she’s ready to jar on Wed/Thurs.

Still no amber and she’s still kicking out new pistils every day. She’s only getting water now.

I’m curious to see how long she’ll stay like this.
