Looks like Michigan weather to me. Lol. Stay safe buddy.

Yep it sure is, so unpredictable in April, and even into May. I had heavy frost for 4 nights in a row in May last year that wiped out all my apple blossoms, and if I would off put my plants out, would of been ugly.

You up in the up? Gotta love this crap. Look forward to seeing your outdoor grow!

In the thumb, and I can’t wait to get it going.

Well it’s two days after the Earth Dust tea with Humic acid addition, and the most stubborn among the six the Runtz/White Caviar finally is mostly nice and green. Two days ago (didn’t think to take pictures) she was so light colored on the growing tips she was almost white on the tinest new growth and turning to yellow on the leaves out a few hours to a day or two from coming out. If you blow up the pic from 8 days ago, you can see the white/light green tips.

So for anyone thinking about using the Earth Dust and going to an all organic grow, you should amend the hell out of your soil if you are going to use a no nutriet base like I did of coco coir and ProMix HP. In their defense Earth Dust does tell you to start with a soil base that has nutrients in it. I didn’t. I did put quite a few amendments in it though, apparently not enough.

On another note the Candy store in the front is really showing her girly parts, and I had to top her again to slow her down. When she gets a couple of inches on the new growth below the cut I will put the whole room into flower. So I think that tomorrow I will top dress with the Earth Dust Boost and get the flower show on the road.

This is a shot of the greened up Runtz/White Caviar. The worst curled leaves were on this plant. The leaf pointed straight at you at the top is the one that I took a picture of a couple of days ago all twisted up.

A shot of the topped again Candy store top. ( she will now have 4 main tops )

And some girlie part on the just topped again Candy store.

Lookin at the red resin on the cut of the first topping and the leaf stems… I am wondering if the Candy store is a Red/purple strain. @happilyretired ? They are just like Hap said a very open large plant.

Really windy here today, took the bike out for a short ride, and damn near got blown over sitting at a stop sign. Decided to go home, and glad I did, started raining and storming shortly after I put her up.

Hope everyone is well

The one I grew was pretty much green it did get a little color on the buds as it ripened but that’s about it. :+1:t3:

Good morning everyone…well just looked and it’s actually afternoon lol. The life of the retired.

Cloning question. a few days ago I accidentally clipped a very bottom branch off one of the Candy stores, so rather than waste it, I cut it diagonally trimmed the small secondary branches off it and coated it with cloning gel and popped it into a rockwool cube. It seems to be doing fine. I didn’t drag out the cloning machine, just put it in with my garden starts. Today I planted all my garden starts and cleaned up the tray and clear cover. Made up 8 starter cups with rockwool and in a couple of weeks will be taking cuttings for the next grow. (A first)

And that brings me to my question @nacho151 @TheMadFlascher @bow4buck @Dog_Fart1 @happilyretired @ravenchief @everyone. lol.

Here is the question. The limbs that come off the main stem, have secondary limbs that are plenty big enough to make a cutting from 3-4" long and then also have smaller limbs yet coming off them. Is it OK to make a cutting from the secondary limbs off the main limbs, or only from the tip of a main limb or the top of the plant? The reason I am asking is if it is OK to make cuttings off those secondary limbs I can keep more of my main limbs for flower as many of them are almost as tall as the main stalk of the plant, and would make some nice terminal buds. Appreciate all your input.

Thanks
Marty

I don’t know a lot about cuttings, but I think you can use those secondary branches.

I’ve never tried it, but it might be worth a try.

And I know nothing about cloning and the reason I asked. I THINK that any growing tip has all the genetic info and will produce a plant identical to the mother. But I want to make sure. Thanks!

I agree with nacho. You should try it. It can’t hurt, I don’t think.

Never had a problem, anywhere off the plant, even a larfy straggler in flower.

Just observations: Those taken off the apical, seem to take root faster as well as the soft green flesh new growth.

You can clone it all… you can even take a branch that has multiple growth sites going up it, trim it up and make multiple clones with two main stocks. I have two of them going right now. I will go grab A quick photo and posted…BRB. :+1:t3::v:t3:

Fantastic Hap, and Dog… and thanks everyone !! I was thinking you could and also hoping I could, that will leave me more big limbs to get terminal buds from, I am kicking them into flower earlier this time, and gonna trim the be-jabbers out of the bottom of the limbs like I did a little late last grow.

Really appreciate it !!

These first two clones or taken from the same branch. They were only about 2 1/2 inches long when I started them. It won’t be long and they will explode.

This is a secondary branch.

This is a monster crop clone. (Cloning a flower) it is a blue dream and it is in the process of re-vegging.

These were all started in rockwool cubes.:+1:t3::v:t3:

Just too cool, so you just chop the branch into pieces and leave the secondary nodes that are still small and you get a double top clone !! That will make some dense plants !

Thanks Hap

Sure Marty,
Tertiary branches make great clones and are usually abundant on BBP plants…
Remember any tissue you take off a specific plant, will carry all the genetic traits of the original…
hence the word clone.
