Well I just took a nibble, it is still wet. Actually it is kinda gummy, I had planned on running it through the blender when It was dry but the way it feels I’m not sure it will change back enough to put in blender and then capsules. Just have to wait and see. It was like I thought it would be, tastes like a sour pot candy.
Only took a tiny little bit so we will see if that gets me buzzed, if it does, it is real potent.

Hap,
The decarb reaction should take place pretty darn quick as the citric acid hits the tissue…
LOL, you’ll be getting a surprise tomorrow…you can try it yourself and see if we get any consensus on the results!!

Won’t be long now!!!
If we don’t hear from Marty for another 8 hrs or so, we’ll know we have lift off!!!

Well on the de-carb…total bust. it was still sticky…but a lady friend of mine came over so I rolled up a couple balls a little less in size than a dime. We ate them. Nothing zip nada nothing. Took some of the sugar leaves I made them from, put em’ in a pipe, we took a couple tokes…trashed.
I now have a half ounce of brown sticky junk. Maybe I did something wrong, but followed the directions to the letter, maybe it takes longer than 10 hours of cure? No idea but after 10 hours it did zero to get us high, and I have already had gummies made the traditional way and they are real good.
And on to other things…10 days since flip, the stretch has pretty much stopped, tops are budding up, Watered and measured them yesterday…they haven’t gone up any in height. Still unable to get the tips to green up, other than that they are very healthy.
Couple pics
Getting hot here 90 and above next few days…major change in temp.
Tomorrow is clean and clone.
Have a great day everyone

Well thanks for the experiment. Danke.

It’s there Hap, the camera just isn’t picking it up like standing there looking at them. I am used to plants growing tips coming out green most times a LITTLE lighter than older growth, but not white/pale yellow to lime green. No idea what it is, but it isn’t normal. Here is a better pic of it. That is not normal.

Marty, Thanks for the trial!
The good part about this test is you now have a great pH DOWN (citric acid) at a great price to anything you’re goint to buy in a bottle!!

You are absolutely right about that Bob. That’s why I thought I had some, I used to use it a few years back, but mostly you use UP after you put your nutes in so the down doesn’t get used very often. After I thought about it I remember the expiration date was way out on the bag I had and I went through a bunch of my stuff that was way out of date and trashed it. I have a bunch of nutes I should see if anyone on here wants for a good price before they go bad.

Marty,
Just a thought for you…not saying it is or isn’t because only you know what you’ve added…
Sometimes growers will add quite a bit of Epsom salts during a grow…well Magnesium is antagonistic with Potassium… there’s a Cacium/Magnesium ratio to keep this from happening !
The ideal Calcium/Magnesium ratio is about 4:1…you could crowd it to about 3:1 but beyond that, you’re going to have issues with Potassium metabolism…FWIW

Hey, is there anyone out here who puts his beloved ones 24hrs in the dark right before the 12hr flip to speed up the process?
I do, usually they start flowering after 3-5 days already instead of 10 or so, but I reckon you might sacrifice a little bit of yield tho.

There are several growers on here that take advantage of the technique…
I know Ravenchief does it on his indoor grows, and I know several others here do the same thing, but can’t think of specifics to give you!

No I was wondering because I personally don’t know many people who do it. 1 guy, which is the one I got it from! I’m curious about others their findings. I like it, but like I said, sometimes it feels like the plants yield a bit less.

I dont understand this logic, yield less from 24 hours dark prior to flip? That’s counterintuitive, the dark should trigger a shade avoidance response and actually initiate some stretch…similar to using Far Reds during on hours. I don’t start using my Far Reds at knock-out(10 mins or so) until after she’s pretty well through the initial stretch as it makes it worse ime. I still don’t do the 24 hours, not read enough on it to convince myself, I just change the timer.

That’s interesting…can’t speak to the certainty of that. The 24-36 hours of darkness speeds up flower initiation. Flower/bud development requires a LOT of nutrient support.
I can only suppose that if a grower didn’t have great nutrient availability, he may find himself behind the curve? I DO KNOW that anytime during the flower stage that compromise in nutrient status is going to equal compromise in yields…

I do it. It makes them pop pistols faster for sure.

Smaller plants: shorter lifespan, shorter branches.

Not from one 24hour dark period, no way my brain will wrap that up.
But not knocking your experience with it, its a never-ending learning lesson.
Damn you, now I have to try it at least once.

Mr Monkey…
Those symptoms pretty much tell you that there was indeed some nutrient problems involved IMHO.
The period of darkness triggers the physiological transition to flower…but has absolutely no other effect on the plant! Sometimes it’s easier to blame a new technique’s failure on the technique itself, rather than a growers response to the conditions triggered! JMHO

Yeah I know, it benefits the florigen production. Maybe a nutrient problem, although i never had that impression.
It is just 24hrs of darkness indeed, but the effect lays more around 5-7 days of faster flowering. That’s a week. Maybe it’s that @TheMadFlascher? IDK guys, just an impression. Haven’t done enough comparisons.
Do it! And tell us your findings!
