Related/not-related: Come to think of it, I’ve had power outages (in mid flower) and they’ve been in the dark for a few days and they picked right up where they left off, but did get stretchy in that time. So there is that too.

Never have, someone who does it will have to chime in. I would be interested in knowing if it decreases yield or not. Always looking for something to help with the light bill lol.

Hap have you ever done a side by side same strain and with clones to see if it effects the yield?

I only put mag on one time, one water at a rate of 1/2 tbls per gallon. Then waited, it didn’t do anything to green them up so I didn’t do it again. Gave em one Mag foliar a few weeks ago but not sence. Gave them the Dakine foliar about 3-4 times but that is all nitrogen.

I look at my plants as individuals. Unless they’re clones and then they are individual groups. None of them grow the same except the individuals in the groups. Because they’re all the same plant. My grows just keep getting better and better the less I worry about all the bullshit the people worry about. I get a tip burn I reduce my nutrients a little bit my pH is always right going in. If I get a funky Leaf I keep an eye on it for a couple of days no changes if it bugs me I pluck it if it doesn’t I don’t. One plants not as green as the other, ain’t that a bitch it’ll get over it. The less I worry the better my girls are. the less I change the less problems I have. I got great nutrients, I follow the program, I don’t got a whole bunch of other crap to try to make something special. Special comes from genetics when you find it you keep it. Why do you guys think @PreyBird1 has such killer grows and genetics. He’s very consistent found what works and sticks to it. Don’t add anything unless you take something else away.

Moral of the story, find an average stick with it. And when something special comes along hold onto it. Don’t chase everything you hear use what you know follow who you trust. That’s it. It’s that easy.

Well finally they greened up. I know we just had a long conversation about this just yesterday. Two days prior I had gotten an order of Gaia Green Super Fly insect frass in. I made a 1 tbls per gallon tea with it bubbled it with some Recharge for about 12 hours and watered with it. Apparently that did the trick, their insect frass is fairly high in N. And apparently pretty soluable and availible. Got 1/3 of the plants defoliated and all the sucker buds and limbs on the bottoms cleaned out. Took the buds off till there was just either 3 or 4 buds until the terminal bud. Should help on bigger primary buds.

I put my tents in 36 hours of dark to start the flip - I learned this from Jake form Growmore in a video he did with Dude grows years ago - he recommended 36-48 hours - I tried it and I will NEVER go back indoors -
I get much earlier pistils and into flowering cycle more cleanly - I haven’t tried 48 hours but I will next run -
I have not seen any loss of yield at all in fact since they go into flower earlier I find that it speeds up the cycle and the flowers get bigger and more numerous.
That’s my experience from 6 indoor grows.

Well I will have to try that next grow, this one is already at 11 days into flower so too late this go around.

Thanks for the heads up !!

Well I have to say I am getting terribly dissapointed in this organic grow. I’m back to white growing tips, and I just hit two weeks of flower and there is not so much as a trike anywhere, no frost at all. I have NEVER grown where there wasn’t frost on the top leaves at two weeks and most times a lot of it. At first I thought I was just being paranoid…but started looking back through my pictures and nope frosty buds at two weeks.

I am getting so disgusted with this grow I am about to just rip them out and start over. I don’t think they are going to do shit. On a positive note, outside is doing well.

Canna’s all starting to come up

Banana trees getting some size

Planted my peppers hot and sweet and eggplant in the garden.

Cherry tomato getting big got lots of blooms on it ready to pop into flower

Cucumbers and a couple of different sweet peppers I’ve never grown before

Hope everyone had a fantastic day.

OK everyone…keep your fingers crossed. I THINK I have discovered the problem with the white/pale yellow growing tips and the lack of trichromes on my girls. And it has nothing to do with Earth Dust, or nutes…just a day and a half ago when I put my post up about how dissapointed I was in this grow, I sat down and said to myself…what did you change on this grow that you didn’t do at all on your last grow.

Answer…install and turn on the Rapid LED UVA/IR light bars.

So a day and a half ago I pulled the plug on those two light bars.

And suddenly I have trichromes coming out all over the leaves…AND the white/yellow tips are going away. What first made me sit down and really think about what else could be amiss was… as the flowering progressed the buds just didn’t look right…instead of the pistols coming out long and sticking up and the buds getting fatter…they were very distorted looking, they looked like a half round whitish mound and the pistols wern’t getting long and sticking up like normal, then the light bulb went off and I realized that the one parameter that I had forgotten about was those new lights. Since turning them off, the pistols are getting longer and look more “normal”.

I sure hope it isn’t a false alarm of getting better if you will, but they certainly do look better all of a sudden. The next week or so should tell the tale. Not dissing Rapid LED at all…their instructions say turn them on the last two weeks of flower only for enhanced resin production. So we shall see.

I’m just getting tickled…they are literally getting healthier by the hour. NOW they look right, still got a little ways to go they haven’t recovered fully yet… but who woulda though that UVA/IR light would totally screw them up.

They also started getting bigger and streaching again.

Now we got some sticky coming on…

Interesting. I run my UVA lights all the time. On the same timer as the lights.

My uva’s run from seed to chop, same height as main lights… far red I modified, I don’t add the “lights out” until after stretch…or my experience says stretch X3. fwiw
Bob’s Blue Magic, center bitch is 21 days post flip, the 2nd stringers are a few days behind on 2x BBP… same feed and microbe stew. all will be on autopot autofed rez at (Jacks 7.2\4\2.4) in a day or so…exhausted from planting my dirt veggie garden.

Damn Dog !
Your garden gives away the fact that you’re an ANAL wreck!
Did you align those rows with a Lazer??!!!
Beautiful job! That landscape cloth is the bomb for a large garden…lot of work went in that…I’m assuming it’s a semi-permanent planting.
Be a great time to get your humic acid on!

Your girls look stellar, in the true Dog Fart tradition!

I’m an engineer, what do you want. and yeah I broke out the transit to set pitch on the drain tile…to my well point.
Already planted with, microbes, humics, aminos/peptide, fish hydrolysate, kelp/alfalfa meal, sulfur, milorganite… fabric is a “I dont like to weed, at least not that kind” I have the auto watering to setup yet…but thats a timer with a fert injection system

engineer…uhhuh…that pretty much says it all !
Good planning though, makes all the difference in sustaining and maintaining that grow through the season.

Is you injection system a venturi feed or something with electric pumps?

Its a Hudson venturi fed simple as it gets.

Please elaborate…:+1:t3::v:t3:

Actually, I like the venturi feed for safety…if the water isn’t there, you don’t need to worry about the fertilizer pumping into your irrigation lines!

Hap, the venturi injection system uses a venturi inlet plumbed in near the front of the waterline near the pomp. As the pressurized water enters the mainline. there is a venturi valve syphoning the concentrated fertilizer into and mixing in the mainline so that it thoroughly mixes before it gets to the sprinklers/emitters.
Depending on the size of the system, a poly hose is hooked to the venturi valve and it syphons the concentrated fertilizer out of a barrel or tote…
Whenever the water flows, fertilizer is injected…when it stops so does the fertilizer…
