Well got a surprise visit from FedEx today while cutting the front lawn. They dropped off the quart of FlaVue from @NateCannaCribs !!! Thanks Nate !! I am going to put two of the six inside clones into the rotation of getting FlaVue each and every water. I figure I have a good two weeks of veg, and then 12-13 weeks of flower. The quart should get those two and the one outside through the finish line.
Just a small update, the clones inside really started hopping…they were really pale and slow going a day or so after their transplant into the 10 gal pots. They have since come to life and are now starting to put on good leaves and have great structure. The BBP applications are making them grow node after node closely spaced and look just fantastic. The doubled nutes of the Gaia Green organics are kicking in and life is good. I have been the last two waterings been brewing some Billions/Recharge and a couple of Tablespoons of Molassas into a 5 gal bucket as a supercharge of innoculants to jump start the breakdown of the organics and it seems to be working, they got healthy overnight when I started that. I just made up a bucket and did the same and in addition added 2 cups of Humic acid mixed in a gallon jug at the rate of 4 Tbls dry to one gallon of RO water and then 2 cups of that mix into 5 gal of the super innoculant brew.
A couple of pics. These are all Candy store clones.
Awesome Marty, are you gonna do a side by side?..3 with FlaVUH and 3 without FlaVUH? (thats how I understand your statement anyway) My 3 separate strains seem to love it in the mix with FlaVUH, Tria, BBP, E91Si, Jacks@140%.
Gonna watch along…
No Dog gonna do two inside and continue the one outside with the FlaVue. I was down to about an ounce from the 4 oz sample that I had been doing the outside one with. But the one outside takes two gallon a day it’s in a 7 gal bag and also in Gaia green nutes. I calculated how much the quart would do based on 3 ml a gallon a day. And left a small margin of error if they go a little longer. So finish the one outside and start the two inside on the FlaVue tomorrow for the first time. Inside and out have had BBP since they got roots in the cloner.
Thanks Happy. This is my hobby to relax with. Although sometimes when shit goes south it’s anything but relaxing…lol…I’m sure everyone knows what I mean by that ! I love trying new things and if they work and improve the end results fantastic!
Got all sprayed with the BBP today, and watered with the microbe soup with FlaVue in it on three of them. They are getting really happy, dark green and very compact. I upped the amount of Silica Gold by TPS to 6 ml per gal. as well and the stems are getting really thick and strong.
This organic grow stuff is a new road too…this being my second try. I am liking it, plants taste and smell so much better. But it is just as much work as nutes in my opinion. With the denser organic soil composition it is a bit harder to learn the right amount to water and keep them moist not wet or dry. I still Ph the water so still some fussing around to do, but not bad either. In a few days they are going to get the top dress of Gaia Green Power bloom and watered in. Then about a week later hit the lights down to 12/12.
Just wanted to tell everyone about a simple little product I got a while back. It is one of our most basic tools. I got it off Amazon based on the reviews, so it wasn’t a tough job picking it. Sometimes those reviews are good and sometimes they aren’t so accurate. This one was a winner.
This little watering can is a gallon in size, and works wonderfully. The spout with the sprinkler head can be taken off to pour a single stream as well. The sprinkler head is simply amazing, it really works well, until just before it runs out of water.
Anyway if your looking for a really good watering can that sprinkles or pours and works good this is a great buy.
This is my first time trying organic so far so good. They smell a lot more pungent than the synthetic ones. Just top dressed with some Gaia power bloom last night and watered in with some molasses water. Went with Gaia after reading this topic, seemed simple enough other than
Woo wee……looked up that silica you use, that be some pricy stuff. $80 for basically half a quart…500 ml.
Have you done a comparison using it versus others? I see it is a stronger solution and according to them the most concentrated ever accomplished, so obviously you would use less, I’m not so concerned with the price unless it’s astronomical….what I go for is performance. Any input on that @Dog_Fart1 ?
Also did you purchase a quart of the FlaVue or are you on the sample?
Yeah the $$ sucks - No Doubt…Look at the Micronutrient break down, Allegedly has lots of Aminos & other micros Z, B, Mb, Mn, When I decided on it I was torn between that and Fascilitor. The Hydro guy hooked me up with a small 100ml bottle of Grow Genius too (this is like 40% .3ml/10l)… The usage rate is 1ml to 3ml /gal min so it will last a long while.
So to go on the Cheap, I start adding it when I do all my non-sense quad, cut, bend, tie stuff, to help to stiffen the plant up using the quickly available MonoSilicic for a couple weeks of veg, then I switch over to Pot-Sil and Tribus(amyloliquefaciens - Si solubilizer)…Maybe thats more info than you care. And you get the extra hit of Potassium, which it seems all the commercial lines are flipping that old Phoshorous is the Big flower dog to it being K heavy moderate P, Bob could probably better chime on that.
I did not order it yet, I have 1/3 to 1/2 a bottle left, I will order a Qt. But $16 to ship a $85 quart - I was trying to shop around to see if I could find it elsewhere. Amazon has the 2-0-0 stuff…so no thanks.
*Update: Ordered via Amazon through Ventana/GrowersHouse Fulfillment worked out to be $15 cheaper due to shipping and tax. Nate, man, ya gotta hook up us GN guys up, like freeship over $100 or smthn.
LOL…and I thought that I experimented lol…man you got a supplement soup going there. I know the TPS silica works, and it is very resonably priced. $20 a quart bottle with free shipping. I just this grow played with the amount and tried it at another 50% stronger and it made a big difference, went from 4ml to 6ml per gallon. The bottle says don’t use more than reccommended, but I just proved that wrong.
I have been a very good boy this grow, other than spraying them a couple of times with bug killer after I brought them inside, I haven’t put on anything other than Bud Buster Pro from @TheMadFlascher. I got some seriously bushy girls going. And I PH up with PotCarb so I also get a hit there.
You know all three of the NPK constituents have their place, and they’re all important…
I was very fortunate to have studied under this gentleman, whom I would say was very instrumental in my persual of the biochemisty involoved in metabolic pathways…
This is back in '76-77, and he once told me ‘Bob, Potassium is the least understood, and most important nutrient in plant physiology’…be damned if he wasn’t spot on !!!
Well most of the garden is dying…zero tomatoes getting ripe some green ones but not many. One pepper plant I put in early is just now making peppers. Cucks are pretty much dead.
Inside plants are doing great, had to turn down the LUXX to 70% top leaves were getting kinda distorted, wanted to keep the light lower for the lower parts of the plant without burning the tops. Gonna have to kick them into flower sooner than I had planned as they are already at 28" tall. Top dressed them with Power bloom and watered it in with my microbe soup. Then dug all of the top dress in after watering, reason why is it is pretty dusty so that helped keep the dust down by watering first then cultivating the top of the soil. Yesterday sprayed again with the BBP. 2.5ml per 8 oz. Next one will be at 3ml at the flip.
Outside (no pic) I suddenly had a swarm of pure white aphids all over my girl. Have never seen pure white aphids before, they are almost translucent. Anyway got out my BIG ultra low volumn sprayer it is a true “fogger”. Put a gallon of Lost coast in it and stood there for a good 10 minutes fogging her. Walked all the way around it and hit it from every side. Went on a ride with some friends and had dinner and when I got back a half hour or so ago, put the ol’ eyeball on her. ZERO aphids ! Woo hoo.
Things are going great in the room, tured the timer back to 12/12 this morning they grew 3 inches a day for the last three days and are now 33" tall from the dirt up. Here we go again lol…gonna be 5 feet tall when finished. Tomorrow they get there pre flower 3ml - 8oz BBP treatment. Then one more in another week.
