Sssportsmfg 2022 Grow log 100% Organic x Runtz x Bruce Banner x Candy Store

I heard it is a big time producer from @ravenchief he grew a few outside. He also said it was quite tasty. I have just given them to my growme today. Kept one for me. Pretty sure I got 20 of them on a two for one sale at ILGM.

Since this is a grow log, I can’t just give the good or take pictures when they look the best, or not admit that i did something wrong. As everything you do has an effect on the grow. But this time it is the governments fault and not mine.

OK last grow I just plain screwed up and left my mail timer/controller on 12/12 from the get go and my plants went into flower at 2 weeks. Because they were little and in big pots I was just watching them daily but not getting right up in there so didn’t see the flowers start right away as I was only watering every 5 days or so.

This timing fubar is a little different completely. Back before daylight savings time I started this grow, put all the cups and germinated seeds in my little seedling tent, put that inside my big tent, plugged the seedling tent into the main timer set the timer at 16 hours on, set the time of day and off we went.

Now from the time I started the seedling tent, the daylight savings time kicked in and of course I reset everything in the house forward, not the tent but hey it’s just on off didn’t care if was an hour actual difference as I am retired so don’t set it up so best for working in the tent by a outside work schedule.

Any way when I took the seedling tent out of the main tent and turned on the big lights, I also set up the two individual timers for the Far Red and UV/IR supplemental boards, set the time, then the hours on/off. I am practicing the 10 min of far red after main lights so those two bars were set to run an extra 10 minutes.

Here is where the screw up came in. The main timer that is separate of the timers on the supplemental boards was on non daylight savings time and an hour behind the last two timers I set up. So I was laying on the couch last night and it was after midnight, grabbed my phone opened my tent controller app and the temp was at my set temperature and the fan was at 6. Brain says wait a minute, everything should have shut down a half hour ago, why hasn’t the temp dropped? Went downstairs and low and behold the main lights were on, and the supplements were off, that’s when the light bulb went off, I had set the main timer up on non daylight time before the time change, and the last two timers on daylight savings time so they were an hour off. So in the morning the supplementals were coming on an hour before the mail lights and then going off an hour before. Let me tell you they didn’t like it either
when i came down last night they were all droopy, so the abnormal cycles between the white lights and the supplementals sure wasn’t like nature lol.

Like I said it’s the governments fault and I sticking to it lol.

Things are growing great on the Organic grow. With the pots being a little bigger than I thought and so a light mix on the Earth Dust, they needed a little supplementing with organic liquid fertilizer (Chicken Soup) and have now greened up considerable. Fist pic is the room overall. Second is a closeup of the now kicking ass @happilyretired provided Candy store seedling that started out poorly. I actually think that just like Hap’s candy store runt did,
that this little girl is going to surpass the others in a week or so.

Overall room

The sassy runt

And I put in a bunch of seeds for the vegetable garden. Peppers, Tomatoes, Eggplant etc.

EDIT
and I forgot to mention
I turned on the IR/UVA bars they are running the full 16 hours on cycle and no adverse effects at all, matter of fact they liked it, once I got the timers synced !

It’s FRIDAY
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend !

Looking might fine Marty

The House of Reps just passed the legalization of Marijuana bill - the Senate may not get past the filibuster, but its a step in the right direction and that makes it a great start to a a great weekend

Well got home today and hadn’t paid any attention to the tent today, other than re-potting a solo cup Gold leaf, then went partying with some friends smokin and some drinkin beer. Got out the old tape measure and they are going strong. Grew 1.5" today. The re-potted Gold leaf is loving her new home.

The Candy store
 8.5" now

The re-potted Gold leaf
she be happy.

Damn Bob, sometimes if I didn’t have bad luck I wouldn’t have any luck at all lol. Since I made that FUBAR with the last grow and the light schedule at 12/12 I was super aware of it, and made sure everything was 16/8 for the veg this time
then along came DST, and foiled all my perfectly laid plans lol. But I caught it quick, and they were still getting 16/8 so no harm done other than a whacky spectrum for a week. They are loving the Far Red and the UV/IR light. Growing at present a inch and a half a day.

Not gonna be long before I have to start topping them. The Candy store that came up normal is the tallest, the Bruce Banner are really short and bushy plants, healthy as a horse but not growing up very fast. The Runt Candy store that came up sick has the biggest leaves of any of the plants and is quickly getting to be big. The @PreyBird1 farms Runtz/White Caviar have really wrinkled leaves and the biggest main stems of any of them. All are doing great. The nutes have settled in and they needed some more time to cook properly. (Don’t believe the Earth Dust 2-3 weeks) It takes a good 4-5 to be properly cooked. The tent now smells like bat shit lol
literally. It is a musty guano smell, not bad, but definetely organic through and through.

@happilyretired here it the Candy store runt seedling now.

The beautiful but wrinkly Runtz/White Caviar

And the short and stocky Bruce Banner

Normally I wouldn’t do an update every day as generally things don’t change that much in one day. The girls have gotten their feet down now, it’s been 7 days since transplant into the big bags. The biggest Candy store is growing at the rate of 2.5" since yesterday and still has a couple hours to go from when I measured yesterday. I’m tickled.

Second is today. When you look at them every day you start to feel like they are not growing a lot.

Today

About a month ago I put in some lettuce and radishes. It has gotten way cold since then. Down into the 20’s on several occations, finally starting to warm up and mostly stay that way. Still getting into the low 40’s high 30’s here.

They raccoon trap is just to keep the squirrels and Robins from digging them up, I have chicken coup cloth on the top but ran out on this row of radishes I just put in today, so I improvised lol.

Lettuce and radish love germinating in way cooler temps. Should be all good :+1:
Bout ready to start getting mine in here pretty soon.

Yeah it didn’t kill them just stopped them growing for a week each time. They have grown more in the last couple of days with the rain and 60-70 temps than in the whole last month. I just put in more radishes and lettuce again today
staggered crop. About three weeks in go the maters, eggplant peppers, hot peppers cucumbers. I started 6 different kinds of maters, three different peppers and one hot pepper and a cherry tomato. Gotta leave room for other things lol.

6 different types of tomatoes, I’m impressed. Thats variety for a home garden.
I’ve only got 4 varieties of slicers and 4 different cherry tomatoes. But, in doing somewhere around 30 plants of each. Cut back a little this year :sweat_smile::rofl::joy:

Wish I had room for more, I put in about 4-6 of each, I’ll give some of them away to friends to put in their yard, I got a lot of tomato seeds that you never see at the nursury and all heirloom, so you can save the seed and they grow the same the next year. Black Beauty, Big Rainbow, Thorburn’s Terra Cotta, Brandywine, Purple Reign, Beefsteak, and a couple more I forgot the name of. I like the purple and black and orange tomatoes
they have great flavor. The ones like better boy and whatnot you find in the store, just don’t compare. I get my seeds from Baker Creek Seeds. They are right here in MO and breed them here so most of them do pretty good.

I get about 90% of my seed from Johnny’s. Not the cheapest but, germ rates are phenomenal and, I can buy in bulk. Only went with one heirloom this year, Black Krim. Personally I love heirloom but they don’t sell well at market.
Too many heirloom varieties cat face, nothing wrong but customers see it as “something wrong” and don’t buy them. So now I grow the nice perfect globe shapes they want to see. Martha Washington, New Girl, Valencia and the black.
If you like sweeter less acidic, White Cherry is about the best tomato I’ve ever put in my mouth
