Look at it! Oh, it’s so beautiful! I was just stirring it a bit, so it’s not all smooth and perfect.
Now, if I can get my THC extracts to go like this, I will be ready to make my own THC vape carts, at home, using exactly what I want, and nothing more. Eventually, I’ll use the CBD in carts, but I need a good stockpile of tincture, first.
I make extracts, distillate and feco/rso. Alcohol extraction pulls higher amounts of chlorophyll and will definetly be very noticable vaping. A closed loop extraction with butane produces a more palatable experience to dab or vape.
No thank you to the butane. I’ll stick with ethanol in my home extracts.
I completely understand your thinking. Make sure you dont use cooking spray as it contains both isobutane and propane as a propellant. There is a reason why alcohol isnt the top produce extract. It strips chlorophyll and brings esters, waxes, lipids and fats with it in large proportions. As a tincture it is good. As dab material it is terrible. I use many solvents including high grade 200 proof alcohol in making distillate. I am aware what it does to any dissolved substance including material. I find in my research that other solvants for dabable extracts are best suited with butane/propane/isobutane. At the end of the day we should compare lab results so you have a better understanding of what I use.
I am aware of all of that. I still prefer alcohol for a solvent. I honestly don’t need a better understanding of what you use .
I don’t send my stuff in for lab testing. I don’t sell or anything. Everything I make is for personal use. I don’t see any reason to spend money on lab tests for myself. Hence why I won’t use any process that adds more dangerous solvents. I, for one, have ZERO intentions of ever using butane/propane/isobutane in my extracts
This thread is about a very specific extraction process. I absolutely understand there’s a plethora of options out there. However, I am doing alcohol extractions using The Source and ultrasonics. That’s what fits in my life. That’s what currently works for me.
I added about ½ gram of the oil and 3 drops of Blue Dream terps together, and put it in a new vape cart & battery. Honestly, doesn’t taste too bad, considering. Can’t wait to practice, practice, practice!
The rest is going to be turned into tincture. I prefer CBD via tincture, though I enjoy CBD carts immensely; the carts aren’t as effective for me, but they sure do taste good.
4 grams of CBD oil
30ml MCT
4 drops of terps (I actually mixed 2 sets of strain terps in an attempt to load this with lots of linalool and humulene–Durban Poison and White Widow)
Tastes very good. No burn.
Did u know u can use terpines to make an extract?
Could you rephrase the question, please?
Are you aware it is possible to use terpines to make oil from cannabis ? (Use as the solvent)
What?! Lol! That seems silly, to me. Why would anybody waste all that money do that? Seems kinda crazy, to me. I figure the extracts have some strain terps in them, from the starting material, then I can add just a few drops for extra medicinal value.
Seriously, why extract using terpenes? There is such as thing as too many terps, which can be dangerous for ingestion and inhalation.
Besides, my 6 1ml bottle of terps cost me over $60. I can’t even imagine the exorbitant cost of extracting cannabis oil using terpenes.
Lol u reclaim them with a cold trap haha but its the cleanest tasty extract i have seen tastier than frosin (rosin from live resin via dry ice ) its super smooth
Expensive start up tho your right .the lemon terps my buddy used cost about 500$ for Enough to do many runs tho.little loss per run if carefully done
I’m, um, going to stick with what I have going on, here. For a bit.
If i ever get around to making some i could send u a cartridge
